Making a “May 9” greeting card using the quilling technique. “Let there be no smoke in the sky, let the sky be blue Quilling salute for May 9

Every year for more than 70 years, on May 9 we celebrate a special holiday - Victory Day. This holiday is both joyful and sad. On this day we celebrate the Great Victory of our people over the Nazi invaders and remember all those who did not return home from that terrible war. Modern children can only learn about the events of the Great Patriotic War from feature films or books, and only a few have great-grandparents who participated in hostilities or worked on the home front during the war. May 9 is a great occasion to give gifts to veterans to congratulate them on the Great Victory. Handmade gifts are especially valuable for older people. Therefore, I bring to your attention a simple master class on making a holiday card for Victory Day. This card is made using the appliqué technique using quilling elements. The finished card looks solemn and at the same time festive. If desired, it can be decorated with homemade paper flowers.

To work we will need:

1. Colored cardboard;
2. White and red paper.
3. Quilling strips;
4. Glue - pencil;
5. Regular and curly scissors;
6. Quilling hook;
7. Tweezers;
8. Ruler with circles.

Let's take a sheet of cardboard as the basis for the postcard. blue color A4 format. We bend it in half, the postcard will be double.

First, I propose to make separately all the elements to decorate the holiday card, and then glue them onto the base.

One of the main attributes of the Victory Day is the St. George ribbon. We can easily make it from orange and black quilling strips.

Coat a regular sheet of paper with glue

and glue the strips one by one. On the left and right you need to select orange stripes 0.3 mm wide,

and the inner stripes should have a width of 0.5 mm.

We cut out the resulting St. George ribbon,

We cut off its upper edges at a slight angle.

Second, no less important attribute the upcoming holiday is a red star. We will make a star for the card from two colors of red cardboard, which have different shades. First, draw and cut out three stars of different sizes.

We will outline the first and third stars on red cardboard of one shade, and the second on red cardboard of a different shade.

Let's assemble and glue all three stars together alternating colors, as shown in the photo.

On red paper we will write or print the inscription “HAPPY VICTORY DAY!”

We carefully cut out the inscription using curly scissors.

Another symbol of victory and eternal life is the laurel branch. We will also use it to decorate our postcard. Laurel branches made using the quilling technique look very beautiful. To make laurel leaves, take half a quilling strip and wind it onto a quilling hook.

and expand to a size of 16 mm.

Glue the end of the strip. As a result, we get a round roll, which we shape into a drop with our fingers.

We make 10 leaves from rolls with a diameter of 16 mm, and one, the top leaf from a roll, with a diameter of 14 mm.

For laurel berries, roll 6 rolls with a diameter of 6 mm.

and two rolls with a diameter of 4 mm.

When all the elements for decorating the postcard are ready, you can begin placing them on the base and fixing them with glue. Glue a St. George ribbon, a red star and a congratulatory inscription onto the card.

Now let's start collecting the laurel branches. For the stem we use a quilling strip, which we glue edgewise onto the card.

Glue a small leaf at the top

and below we glue 5 pairs of larger leaves opposite each other.

We also glue the stems for the berries edgewise onto the postcard; at this stage of work it is convenient to use tweezers,

and glue the berries on top of the stems: we place two small ones on top, and the rest below them.

Holiday card ready! Inside it you can write warm words of congratulations to the veteran on VICTORY DAY. Happy holiday to everyone!

The Defender of the Fatherland Day holiday is one of the most famous in our country and for good reason. After all, many people suffered, died and fought for victory over the fascist invaders during the period Great Patriotic War. You can pay tribute to the past in different ways, but the most the best solution V in this case will become art. It is this that makes it possible for the greatest and most powerful nations to live and prosper. Therefore, quilling postcards for May 9 is your contribution to the creativity fund of the entire country. Making such a postcard, as it turns out, is not at all difficult. Even an ordinary amateur can cope with such work. In this application we will try to convey Victory Day symbol- scarlet carnations with a red star! How is a Postcard with a carnation for May 9th created in quilling style?

So, we will need the following materials:

  1. Cardboard A5 (Blue, yellow)
  2. Strips for working with quilling (width - 5 mm, length - 40 centimeters)
  3. PVA glue with dispenser
  4. Quilling board or ruler with diameter
  5. Ordinary scissors
  6. Curly scissors
  7. Toothpick or quilling device
  8. Ruler

The basis

Perhaps this is enough to arrange it yourself beautiful postcard. First of all, you need to prepare the background of the postcard, on which our flower will be located. To do this, take curly scissors and trim the edges on yellow cardboard A5. Next, we prepare the interior background using blue A5 cardboard. To do this, we make the outline of a rectangle and cut out the relief edges using curly scissors. Then, using glue, we fasten the base yellow color with background of blue color, rotate the second one slightly (angle 75 degrees).

Modules

Next, we work on the composition and twist the necessary elements for it. It's very easy to do. You need to take a quilling tool or pick up a toothpick, cut off the sharp edge and make an incision in the middle of the trunk by 5-7 mm inside. Next, insert the end of one of the pieces of paper and roll it into a tight roll. We get a tight roll. Next, we open the spiral, and then, in free end drip glue and glue the composition. In this way you can do a large number of different circles. In our case, there will be 16 red, 5 orange, 7 green, which will be needed for work. If you want to make the circles the same diameter, use a ruler with notches or a quilling board.

Petals for carnations

Next, we prepare the petals for the future carnation. In this case, the spirals must be pressed down on one side and bent deeper on the other. Thus, we form special sheets. Making petals is even easier. It is enough to make exactly the same blanks, squeeze them on both sides once and you will get the shape "eyes".

Other decorations

In order to make a star, you need to make an element from quilling module "Rhombus". Then, 5 such modules are made, which are folded into one five-pointed star. Afterwards, we begin to work with the application. For an inexperienced craftsman, it is best to draw the outline of the future composition. Next, take a clove bud and 5 petals. The bud is down, the petals are up accordingly. Our postcard will feature 3 carnation flowers. One is orange, the other is red. They are secured with glue, and then, from the edge of the card, they are connected using quilling lines. Then, we attach our sheets to the lines, in any order, as desired. After this, we place our star on the left edge and secure it with glue, and on the right side we make number 9. It can also be formed using quilling paper.

Now our preparation is ready!

Very soon we will celebrate one of the most significant and most victorious days for each of us - the day dedicated to the Great Victory. On a warm May day, we sincerely thank those who will give peace to our home. Schools and kindergartens often hold exhibitions of greeting cards made by children, which are then given to veterans. We have selected for you several interesting master classes on how to make a postcard for Victory Day.

Festive fireworks.

Kids are not yet quite confident in holding a pencil in their hands, so we suggest you make a festive fireworks display, which is also a symbol of Victory, using available materials.
Prepare a postcard, paints (the more colors, the brighter the fireworks), an old brush or dish brush.

Invite your child to dip the tips of the brush into the paints, and then lightly leave an impression on the card. Repeat the procedure several times, wetting the brush each time.

St. George Ribbon.

Children in the preparatory and senior kindergarten groups can already cope with more complex drawings. Because draw St. George's ribbon, perhaps the most recognizable paraphernalia, familiar from the cradle, will not be difficult.

Take a plain, black and orange pencil, a card, an eraser and a ruler.

In the center of the postcard, draw 2 parallel lines diagonally, then draw 2 more similar lines so that they intersect the first ones, forming a rhombus in the center (see picture).

We connect the ends of the upper outer lines with a high semicircle, and the ends of the inner upper lines with a small one. We connect the lower ends of the lines with a straight line in pairs.

We draw 6 stripes along the length of the tape. Pay attention to the top of the tape, you need to draw 6 semicircles there. Every other stripe we paint the space with black.

We paint over the rest of the space with an orange pencil. A simple drawing of the St. George ribbon is ready.

primary school to school

Eternal flame.

The eternal flame is an eternal symbol Great Victory. In order for a schoolchild to draw it primary classes You only need to be able to draw simple geometric shapes with a ruler.

You will need:

  • postcard;
  • colored pencils;
  • simple pencil;
  • eraser;
  • ruler.

First you need to draw a cross with a ruler. It will serve as a support for creating the entire drawing.

Stepping 5 cm down from the intersection of the lines, draw a rectangle so that the line divides it into 2 equal parts. This rectangle will serve as a fire bowl.

From the bottom corners of the rectangle, draw 2 right triangles.

We connect the rectangular corners of the triangle at an acute angle with 2 lines.

We connect the right corners of the triangle with the bottom line of the rectangle, departing 0.5 cm from the intersection line.

Erase straight lines.

Starting from the upper right corner of the rectangle, draw a flame. Erase unnecessary parts of the lines.

Draw a semicircle to the bottom of the bowl. We duplicate all the contours of our eternal flame inside.

2. By duplicating the “9” outline, give it volume.

3. On the right side we draw the smallest, simplest flowers.

4. Add branches and leaves to the flowers.

5. Draw 6 lines throughout the number, simulating St. George Ribbon.

6. We write the inscription. We draw fireworks.

7. Carefully draw all the lines. You can leave the drawing in black and white, or you can decorate it with pencils or paints.

How to make an original postcard with Victory Day on May 9 in quilling style

  • double-sided colored cardboard A4 format;
  • 2 sheets of black and orange colored paper;
  • colored paper for flowers (at your discretion) and leaves (green);
  • glue: pencil, PVA;
  • bamboo skewer or knitting needle;
  • scissors.

To start, you need to cut out a “9” from orange and black paper. You need 3 black ones, and 2 orange ones. Choose the size at your discretion. Since in this version the number 9 plays a central role, its size takes up 2/3 of the postcard.
You will also need to pre-cut strips of colored paper 0.5 cm wide and a length equal to the length of an A4 sheet. You need a lot of strips. Their number depends on the number of flowers that will decorate your card. In this master class, 5 strips were used to create the petals of one flower (the total number of flowers was 9 pieces), the same number of centers - one strip for each and 16 leaves - 1 strip of paper for each.

1. Fold the cardboard in half. We glue the numbers “9” onto the front part of the cardboard, placing each next one with a small gap on the previous one, forming the St. George Ribbon.

2. Twist the strip for the first petal. For greater convenience, at the beginning of twisting, twist the strip onto a bamboo skewer or other thin object. Then remove from the skewer and continue to roll the paper with your hands. As a result, you should get a mini roll.

3. Glue the tip of our roll to its main part with PVA glue.

4. Holding the roll with both hands, flatten one of the sides in bunches (see picture), forming a petal.

As mentioned above, 5 petals were used per flower.

5. After all the petals have been made, we make the middle of the flowers. Roll the paper in the same way and glue the tip. You don't need to do anything else. The flower cores are round and can be used immediately.

6. Form the leaves. In the same way as the petals were spinning, we twist the green paper. After forming a roll, release it a little. Glue the tip.

7. Taking the roll in both hands, flatten it on both sides.

8. Glue flowers and leaves onto the card in any shape. You can add a few drops of glitter glue to the center of each flower. The postcard is ready.

Postcard for May 9 scrapbooking, step by step

To create a postcard using scrapbooking technique, prepare:

  • watercolor paper measuring 10x19 cm;
  • priming;
  • decorative mesh;
  • brush;
  • texture paste;
  • stencil for scrapbooking;
  • putty knife;
  • brush;
  • watercolor paints;
  • colored cardboard;
  • handle;
  • ruler;
  • scissors;
  • St. George's ribbon;
  • glue gun;
  • inscriptions.

First, you need to apply a layer of primer to the watercolor blank.

While the soil is not dry, cut off pieces of decorative mesh and place them on the workpiece in any order.

To ensure that the mesh does not fall off and holds well for a long time, we cover the workpiece with soil again.

Apply texture paste to those places where there is no mesh with a spatula through a stencil.

Using a brush, apply watercolor paints to the dried piece. In this master class, the master used paints that give the effect of antiquity. You can apply any color. The main thing is that the background of the postcard matches the theme.

Let's make a star. Make a star blank from any paper and transfer its outlines onto red cardboard.

Draw a star as shown in the picture.

To further give the star volume, use a non-writing pen or the blunt end of scissors to trace all the contours of the star. Cut out the star.

We cut the cardboard in the places where we indicated with green arrows. Thus, we will make flaps with which the star will be glued to the postcard.

We bend the valves in the middle, and on the outside we add volume with our hands. This will be easy to do since we previously went over all the contours with the blunt end of the scissors.

Glue the St. George ribbon and star to the card.

We glue the blank onto cardboard measuring 11x20 cm, so that there is 0.5 cm of indentation on each side.

All that remains is to glue the inscriptions that were previously printed on the printer. If you don’t have a printer, you can handwrite wishes or any inscription on white paper. The postcard is ready.

Take the first square and fold it diagonally.

We bend the top corner to the bottom.

Bend the bottom corner up.

We turn the corner on the back side in the same way. You should end up with petals like this. Repeat the same procedure with all the squares.

We glue the back of the petal with glue and glue the next petal to it. Using the same pattern, glue all the other petals, forming a flower. For a postcard we need 3 of these flowers.

We take thick colored paper or double-sided cardboard measuring 15x21 cm and glue flowers to it.

From green paper we cut out 3 stems 0.5 cm wide, 3 leaves and three semicircles to close the transition from flowers to stem. Glue it.

Glue black strips of the same length and 0.5 cm width onto an orange strip measuring 10x3 cm. This will be the St. George ribbon. Glue the ribbon to the corner of the card. Ready.

We roll strips 15 cm long and 15 cm wide into a tube. You need 3 of these tubes.

On thick cardboard or whatman paper white measuring 40x31 cm, glue a sheet of colored paper measuring 30x21 cm.

Glue flowers and stems.

Cut out the leaves and glue them to the stems.
