Handmade headband with a beautiful flower
To create such a bandage, we will need a material such as felt or felt. For the base of the flower, you need to cut out a circle from cardboard and cover it with a circle of fabric that is slightly larger in diameter, gluing the edges on the back side. Next we create the flower petals. We cut them into the required shape, but in three different sizes to create tiers of the flower. First we glue the larger petals to the base, then the medium ones, and at the end the small ones. In the middle you can glue a small circle of felt or a large bead. This flower can also be made from a wide satin ribbon. You can choose one or several colors. It all depends on what outfit you will wear the headband with. To finish the job, you need to take a medium-width elastic band, sew its two ends together and attach our flower to it. The headband is sewn with your own hands, you can try it on.
Knitted headband
Another good option is to knit a warm and beautiful hair accessory. To do this, you can use any threads you have at home, or maybe you have old knitted items that can be unraveled into threads. The knitted headband is made using the American elastic technique, so that it is comfortable to put on and that it stays well on the head. First you should measure your head circumference. You will need to knit a little smaller than this size. Knit several rows to find out how many are needed per centimeter. After completing the process, you need to use a crochet hook and the same thread to fasten the two ends of the bandage. To make the headband look even better, you can knit or crochet a large flower.
DIY headband woven from satin ribbons
For this product, you can take ribbons of one color or two or three. We intertwine the ribbons with a pigtail. Each free end is either tied into a tight knot or secured with glue. We glue or sew a small piece of elastic to one and the other end.
It is very easy to make such a headband, and it will look very elegant with an evening hairstyle. You can also decorate with a flower or a piece of ribbon folded like an accordion. There are many options, choose any one you like, and you will look irresistible at any time of the day or year!

Printed fabric 55 x 60 cm (we used an old blouse); elastic tape 0.60 m wide 2 cm; interlining G 785; sewing threads.
Cut:
Measure head circumference ().
- bandage 32 cm wide and length equal to head circumference plus 3 cm;
- belt loop 11 cm long and 9 cm wide;
- 2 stripes for bows, 16 cm wide and 24 cm and 28 cm long.
Duplicate the stripes for the bow and the belt loop with a spacer.
Description of work:
To sew a bandage - see the instructions for the “Indian Princess” model on the next page, but do not sew up the open area in the seam. Fold the bandage so that the longitudinal seam runs along the middle line of the inside of the bandage. Thread an elastic tape with a length equal to the circumference of the head minus 1 cm into the bandage, and sew the ends of the tape. Sew up the open seam. Sew a short seam using an elastic band. Gather the bandage slightly along this seam. On the belt loop, iron the ends to the wrong side to a width of 1 cm. Fold the strips for the bow and the belt loop in half lengthwise with the right side inward and stitch the longitudinal sections at a distance of 1 cm. Turn inside out. Iron. Wrap the belt loop around the headband over the gathered seam, sewing the ends of the belt loop on the inside of the headband. Fold each strip for the bow crosswise in half, fold the ends and stitch. Place the ends of the strips for the bow on top of each other diagonally and sew them by hand to the inside of the headband above the belt loop.

Printed silk fabric 15 x 80 cm (or an old scarf); silver wire 75 cm thick 1 mm; wire cutters; round nose pliers; sewing threads.
Description of work:
Fold the strip in half lengthwise with the right side facing inward and bevel the ends. Stitch the edges at a distance of 1.5 cm, leaving an open section of approx. length in the middle of the longitudinal seam. 5 cm for turning inside out. Turn out the bandage. Use pliers to make a small loop at the ends of the wire. Place the wire into the bandage, insert the ends of the wire into the sharp corners of the bandage and sew with several hand stitches. Sew up the open seam. Place the bandage on your head and twist the ends together.
Indian princess

2 hand-sewn bandeaus,

If you don’t like the grosgrain ribbon, take any suitable fabric, fold it so that it doesn’t spill out, and stitch it by machine or by hand using a blind stitch. Then all that remains is to iron it.
The accessories presented below are a little more complex and require more time to manufacture. For this work you need to use a ring or beads. Here you can no longer do without a sewing machine and cord. This master class is performed as follows: strips of fabric are cut, their width depends on the diameter of the cord. We sew the strips, cut them, and turn them inside out. Next, we thread the cord inside and at the end of the work we decorate the product with beads. You can do without a cord, but then the strip will not look so voluminous.

To work you will need:
We will need 2 pieces of knitwear or fabric. The length of one piece is your head volume plus 4 cm. Width is 30 cm. For example, your head volume is 55 cm. Therefore, the size of one piece is 59/30 cm. Both pieces should be the same size.
Fold each piece in half lengthwise and sew by machine or by hand using a backstitch.
We turn both pieces inside out.
We lay the inverted parts one on top of the other with the seams facing up.
We look at the photo and put the parts together in the same way.
The result should be a “loop” like this.
We put all four sections together, take a centimeter and mark with a pencil the size of the head volume (for us it is 55 cm). Draw a line with a ruler and pencil. We baste along the intended line. We measure the product on the head.
If it is convenient and the strip is not too tight, we grind these 4 ends of the two parts and trim off the excess. This strip looks interesting if you take 2 pieces of material of different colors.
Another very simple master class is a summer bandage made from tights. Of course, the most interesting accessory for this would be colored tights, but regular black ones will also work.
In our work we use 2 pairs of tights of different colors.
Cut off the top part. If the tights have a heel, cut that off too. If it’s not there, leave the sock as is.
Fold it as shown in the photo.
Tighten the knot as tightly as possible.
We measure the volume of the head and mark the size of the strip with a pencil or soap.
We pin it with a pin and stitch it on a machine or by hand with threads matching the color of the tights using a fine stitch.
We cut off the excess elastic. The new accessory is ready. Original and unusual, you must agree!
