As we all know, Ramadan is the month of the Quran. But time flies, and too often we only try to quickly finish reading the Holy Book of Allah, or even more than once, without reflecting on what the Almighty has sent us in it and bringing it to life.

This guide to the Qur'an is intended to make this Ramadan meaningful, conscious and truly special for me and for you.

It is divided into 5 columns.

The desirability of reading the Quran during Ramadan and the desirability of reading it at night

imam Ibn Rojab al-Hanbali in the hadith narrated by al-Bukhari from Ibn Abbas, he said:
جبريل يلقاه كل ليلة من رمضان فيدارسه القرآن

“Jibril met with the Prophet every night of Ramadan, teaching him the Quran.”

The imam said Ibn Rojab:

“The hadith is evidence of the desirability of studying the Qur'an in Ramadan, and gathering for this, and reading the Qur'an before someone who is more knowledgeable and memorized in it.

And this hadith talks about the desirability of increasing the reading of the Quran during the month of Ramadan. And it came in the hadith of Fatima, peace be upon her, about her father (the Prophet) - that he read the Quran to Jibril every year once a year, and in the year when he died, he read it twice.

Also in this hadith of Ibn Abbas it came that the study of the Qur'an by the Prophet and Jibril was at night, and this serves as an argument that it is advisable to read the Qur'an more during the nights of Ramadan.

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Verily, we praise Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, to Him we resort for help, and from Him we ask for forgiveness, and we resort to salvation from the evil of our souls and our bad deeds. The one whom Allah leads, no one will lead astray, and the one He has led astray, no one will guide him to the straight path. I testify that there is no one worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His Servant and Messenger, and then:

Often women, even having been in Islam for a long time and on the right beliefs, experience bewilderment and annoyance that men have much more opportunities to do good deeds and earn rewards from Allah, especially in this blessed month when “The gates of heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are closed, and the devils are chained.” (Al-Bukhari 1800, Muslim 1079).

The desire to earn the pleasure of Allah and His mercy, while at the same time being constrained by household chores and raising children, is what worries many Muslim sisters. And this is not something new that has appeared in our time. This question worried women even during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). We learn about this from the famous hadith.

One day, when the Messenger of Allah was among his companions, Asma, the daughter of Yazid, approached him and addressed him:

“You are like a father and mother to me, I came to you as a representative of all women, I am ready to give my soul for you. And all women from east to west will agree with my opinion that Allah Almighty has sent you with the truth to all men and women, and we have believed in you and in your Lord who sent you. I am one of many women sitting at home who fulfill your wishes, carry your children, and you men are more valuable than us in that you can attend Friday prayers, collective prayers, make a pilgrimage every year, and participate in the struggle on the path of Allah. We, when you go on a hajj, a campaign, protect ourselves and your property, sew your clothes and cannot participate in these good deeds, O Messenger of Allah.”

The Messenger of Allah turned to face his companions and asked: “Have you ever heard a woman speak more beautifully on a matter of religion than this?”

Then the Messenger of Allah turned to her and said: “Go back and tell other women that the best of you will be the one who asks her husband what he will be pleased with, who will do what he wants, agree with his opinion. Doing all this will be equal to what he wants, agreeing with his opinion. Doing all this will be equal to the reward that the husband receives from those actions in which the wife cannot take part.”

Hearing this, the woman turned and left, saying “La ilaha illallah” and “Allahu Akbar” with joy.

(Narrated by Abu Dawud)

From this hadith we see that Allah's mercy is great towards women, and our care for our husband, submission to him, housekeeping and raising children is already enough to receive a reward equal to everything that men do (listed in the hadith) , and praise for this is to Allah alone, if all this is done for the sake of His Face and His pleasure.

However, for those of our sisters who want to be diligent in receiving rewards in the month of Ramadan, we have made a selection of those good deeds that every woman can do in this month with the help of Allah. May Allah help you in doing good, because Allah makes it easier for a person to do good deeds and approach his Lord:

“Allah the Almighty says: “I will be what My servant considers Me to be, and I am with him when he remembers Me. If he remembers Me in his soul, then I will remember him to Myself, and if he remembers Me in company (of other people), then I will remember him among those who are better than them. If a slave approaches Me by an inch, I will approach him by an elbow, if He approaches Me by an elbow, I will approach him by a fathom, and if he approaches Me at a walk, then I will rush to him at a run!”

(Al-Bukhari; Muslim; at-Tirmidhi)

We hope that by the will of Allah our sisters will benefit from this article and disseminate it among sisters, either in print or orally, and our reward and the reward of those who help in its dissemination will increase without diminishing the reward of all those who follow advice mentioned in the article, as the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“Whoever starts a good work and is followed by others will receive his reward and a reward equal to that of those who followed him, without diminishing their reward in any way.”

(At-Tirmidhi, 2675)

1. Make this month a month of repentance - repent of your sins and be sure to ask Allah to help leave these sins behind forever and distance us from this.

Allah said:

“Say: “O My servants, who have transgressed the limit to their own detriment, do not despair of the mercy of Allah! Verily, Allah forgives all sins; verily, He is Forgiving, Merciful! Turn to your Lord in repentance and submit to Him."

(az-Zumar 39: 53-54)

One should persistently ask for forgiveness from Allah, while having the intention of never returning to doing this. Forgiveness can be asked in dua, sujud, adhkar and in at-tawba prayer: Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: “If any of Allah’s servants commits a sin, after which he performs ablution properly, then prays two rak’ahs and asks Allah for forgiveness, Allah will certainly forgive him.”

Then he read the following verse: “To those who, having committed a vile act or acted unjustly against themselves, remembered Allah and asked forgiveness for their sins - after all, who forgives sins except Allah? “And for those who do not consciously persist in what they have done, their reward will be forgiveness from their Lord and the Gardens of Eden” (Ali ‘Imran 3: 135). Abu Daud 1521, at-Tirmidhi 406, Ibn Majah 1395. A selection of materials about fasting during the month of Ramadan: articles and fatwas, books, audio lectures and audio books. (Links have not been removed to make it easier to copy the collection. Disseminate Bismillah among Muslims and may Allah grant you a reward for this equal to the reward of all who benefit from these materials and follow it, without reducing the reward of any of them. Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever starts a good deed and others follow him, will receive his reward and a reward equal to that of those who followed him, without diminishing their reward in any way . Whoever begins a bad deed and is followed by others will bear the burden of his own sin and the burden of sin equal to that of those who followed him, without diminishing their burden in any way.”

(At-Tirmidhi, 2675. He said: This is a sahih hasan hadith)

Ramadan is inextricably linked with the Koran, because it was in this month that this great Book was revealed. The Almighty said:

Fasting is one of the best means for eliminating human attachments that prevent one from seeing the light of the Almighty, which permeates the Quran. Accordingly, the connection between fasting and the Book of Allah is also very strong. Since the Qur'an was revealed in Ramadan, fasting should be prescribed in this month, because the fasting person can best perceive the correct guidance of Allah sent down by Him in the Qur'an.

The verses make us understand that one of the greatest purposes of fasting is to purify the mind for understanding the Quran. After mentioning the obligation of fasting: “Fasting is prescribed for you” (2:183) It is said about the revelation of the Book of Allah in Ramadan: “In the month of Ramadan the Quran was revealed” (2:185). That is, the Koran is the reason for fasting in this month. Both Ramadan and fasting are all for the sake of the Quran, and therefore it is not surprising that Ramadan is called the month of the Quran.

Our righteous predecessors understood this well. They knew that the main purpose of Ramadan is to pay attention to the Koran, protect and observe its commandments, and fasting is needed in order to clear a person’s consciousness for the perception of the Koran. Az-Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked what to do during Ramadan, and he said: “Read the Quran and feed the people.”

When reading the Qur'an, both in Ramadan and at other times, we must remember that our goal is to reflect on the Words of the Almighty and delve into their meaning. Therefore, Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said that the first of the ten actions that help to gain the love of the Almighty is “reading the Quran, accompanied by reflection and an attempt to understand the meaning and significance of each specific verse contained in it, just as a person reflects on a book, which he memorizes and disassembles, trying to fully understand what the author meant.”

And al-Hasan ibn ‘Ali said: “Verily, those who lived before you considered the Quran as messages from their Lord, tried to comprehend them at night and studied them during the day.”

Ibn al-Jawzi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “Whoever reads the Great Quran should understand what kind of mercy Allah Almighty has shown to His creations, conveying the meaning of His Words to their understanding, and know that what he is now reading is not the words of man. And at the same time he must realize the greatness of Him from Whom these Words come, and reflect on the meaning contained in them.”

And it is a great relief and mercy of Allah that He allowed weak creatures like us to have a secret conversation with Him, to research and study His Book and to reflect on the meanings contained in it.

Ibn al-Salah said: “Reading the Quran is an honor bestowed on humanity by the Almighty. It is reported that the angels were not given such honor, and that they strive to hear it from people.”

However, Allah Almighty not only allowed us, by His mercy and His generosity, to have a secret conversation with Him and look at His Words. He also gave us the highest position for doing this. The Almighty said:

Indeed, those who read the Scripture of Allah, perform prayer and spend from what We have provided for them, secretly and openly, hope for a transaction that will not be unsuccessful, so that He will reward them in full and even add from His mercy. Verily, He is the Forgiving, the Grateful (35:29–30).

The Almighty has chosen for himself the people of His Scripture, who read it and act in accordance with it, and made them worthy owners of it.

The Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Among the people are the people of Allah.” People asked: “Who are they, O Messenger of Allah?” He said: “People of the Koran. They are the people of Allah and His associates.”

If you are attentive to the Quran in Ramadan, dear brothers and sisters, read it and study it, your attitude towards the Holy Book will begin to improve, and you will be able to become people of the Quran and, accordingly, people of Allah and His associates, and not be one of those who neglected the Scripture and thereby incurred the wrath of Allah and the complaint of the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): "God! My people abandoned and abandoned this Qur'an" (25:30).

Determine for yourself the amount that you can read daily during the month of fasting, and try to read the same amount every day when Ramadan ends, so that you can be “people of remembrance” and not “people of leaving.” Dividing the Qur'an into small parts that are read constantly is the Sunnah, but it has long been forgotten even by the preachers of Islam and observant Muslims, not to mention ordinary people. Our righteous predecessors read a certain part of the Koran every day. Often this was a part that allowed them to read the entire Qur'an in a month, or so much so that they could read it in a week or, for example, in three days. And the fact that this is the Sunnah is indicated by reliable hadiths, for example, the words of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): “Whoever slept through reading what he usually reads at night or part of it, and then read it between the morning and midday prayers , it will be written down for him as if he read it at night.”

And the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them all) took the example of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in dividing the Quran into parts. Once he hosted several people from the Sakif tribe, and every evening he came to them after evening prayer and talked with them, and one day he was late, and when he arrived, they told him: “You are late.” He said: “I started reading the part of the Quran that I usually read, and did not want to go out until I finished reading it.” The narrator of this hadith, Aws ibn Hudhaifa al-Thakafi, said: “I asked the companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): how do you divide the Quran? And they said: three, then five, then seven, then nine, then eleven, then thirteen, and then a part consisting of short suras."

And ‘Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) divided the Quran so that she could read it completely in seven days. She said: “I read my part (or: the seventh part) sitting on my mat or bed.” However, during Ramadan the attitude of our righteous predecessors was different. During this month, when the Qur'an was recited, a sound like the buzzing of bees was heard from their houses. And although the entire Ramadan is the most worthy and appropriate time for reading the Quran and remembering Allah, night is most suitable for this - after all, at this time a person’s senses become more acute, and he better perceives what he reads. Perhaps this is why Jibril came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) at night during Ramadan to recite the Quran with him, as mentioned by Ibn ‘Abbas (may Allaah be pleased with them both).

Ibn Rajab commented on this hadith as follows: “It indicates that it is better to read the Qur'an in Ramadan at night, because at night business and worries end, a person concentrates, and his tongue and heart are better tuned to in-depth reading of the Qur'an and thinking about what is contained in it sense. After all, the Almighty said: “Indeed, prayers after waking up in the middle of the night make a stronger impression and are clearer in presentation” (73:6).”

This is about time. And if we talk about the place, then it is best, of course, to read the Quran in a mosque, especially if you combine reading with studying.

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Whenever people gather in one of the houses of Allah, where they read and study the Book of Allah together, peace will surely descend upon them, and cover them with mercy, and angels will surround them, and Allah remembers them among those who are with Him.”

“O Allah! Make the great Koran the spring of our hearts, the light of our chests, the removal of our anxiety and sadness. Help us remember what we have forgotten from it, and teach us what we do not know from it... Amen!

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, peace and blessings of Allah be upon our prophet Muhammad, members of his family and all his companions!

Repentance

Allah Almighty said: “And those who do not repent are unjust”(Hujurat 49:11).

The Merciful and Merciful Allah accepts repentance from the repentant always and at any time, but woe to him who does not earn the forgiveness of his Lord in this great month, because of his vices and sins and refusal to repent. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The angel Jibril came to me and said: “O Muhammad! Anyone who is caught in the month of Ramadan and is not granted forgiveness will enter the Fire and Allah will remove him from Himself. Say: “Amen!” and I said: “Amen!” Ahmad, Ibn Hibban, at-Tabarani in “al-Kabir”. The hadith is authentic. See “Sahih at-targib” 3/216.

The gates of repentance are open to those who want to repent until death overtakes them. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Verily, Allah, the Almighty and the Great, accepts the repentance of a slave until he begins to make a death rattle.” at-Tirmidhi 3537, Ibn Majah 4253. Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith good.

How many people wanted to catch this month, but it turned out differently - and in their graves they turned into hostages who could neither increase their righteous deeds nor repent of their many sins. So let no one ignore the opportunity to repent, no matter how great his sins, because Allah the All-Forgiving said: “O My servants who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allah! Verily, Allah forgives sins completely: for He is Forgiving, Merciful!”

(az-Zumar 39: 53). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “He who repents of sin is like one who committed no sin”

Ibn Majah 4250. The hadith is good. See Sahih al-Jami' 3008.

However, it is necessary to know that the Lord is Forgiving and Merciful, but He grants His forgiveness and mercy when a certain condition is met, namely, if a person turns to Allah Almighty with complete and sincere repentance.

Repentance requires compliance with three conditions:

  1. Stopping sin
  2. Repentance for sin
  3. Determination to never do something like this.

If at least one of the above conditions is not met, then repentance will not be accepted. In the same case, when the sin committed somehow affects another person, repentance will have to satisfy four conditions, namely the three above-mentioned and one more, the essence of which is to make amends to those who suffered from it , asking for his forgiveness or returning to the victim what was illegally appropriated, if the matter concerns the illegal appropriation of material assets, etc. See “al-Azkar” 321, “Riyadu-salikhin” 28.

Multiple readings of the Qur'an

Allah Almighty said: “The month of Ramadan is the month in which the Quran was revealed as a guide for people and an explanation of the straight path” (al-Baqarah 2: 185).

Ibn ‘Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “Angel Jibril met with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) every night of Ramadan and studied the Quran with him.” al-Bukhari 6, Muslim 2308.

Hafiz Ibn Rajab said: “This hadith indicates the desirability of gathering to study the Quran during Ramadan. Also in the hadith there is an indication of increasing the reading of the Koran in the month of Ramadan" See "Lataiful-ma'arif" 189.

If a Muslim fasts during daylight hours and reads the Koran at night, then on the Day of Judgment he will have two intercessors: fasting and the Koran. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Fasting and the Koran intercede for the servant of Allah on the Day of Judgment. The post says: “My Lord! I deprived him of food and drink in the bright part, so let me intercede for him!” And the Koran says: “My Lord! I deprived him of sleep at night, so let me intercede for him!” - and their intercession is satisfied" Ahmad 2/174. The authenticity of the hadith was confirmed by Imam al-Hakim, Hafiz al-Munziri, Sheikh Ahmad Shakir and al-Albani. See “Sahih at-targhib” 973.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and his companions, and then their followers, sought to spend the days and nights of Ramadan reading the Holy Quran, penetrating its meanings. When the month of Ramadan arrived, they increased the frequency of their reading of the Koran and the great imams of our community followed their example. For example, Imam Malik abandoned all his studies during Ramadan and began reading the Koran. Sufyan al-Thawri did the same. Some scholars from among our righteous predecessors read the Koran every three days during night prayers, others - every seven, and still others - every ten days. It is also reported that “Qatada read the entire Quran every seven days, and when Ramadan came, he read the Quran every three days.” See al-Siyar 5/276.

However, one should not read the Qur'an in less than three days, since the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) himself did not read the Qur'an in less than three days, and said: “He who reads it in less than three days does not understand the Koran!” Abu Daud 1394, at-Tirmidhi 2949, Ibn Majah 1347. Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith authentic.

For those Muslims who do not know how to read the Koran, we wish to gain willpower and master the letters of the Arabic alphabet in order to read the Koran both in the blessed month of Ramadan and at other times, earning a great reward for this! The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Everyone who reads at least one letter from the Book of Allah will have one good deed written down for this, and for each such good deed he will be rewarded tenfold. I’m not saying that “Alif, lam, mim” is one letter, no “alif” is a letter, and “lam” is a letter, and “mim” is a letter.” At-Tirmidhi 2910, Imam Ibn Qudam and Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith authentic.

Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “If a person completes reading the entire Quran at the beginning of the night, then the angels will pray for him until the morning, and if he completes the reading of the Quran at the end of the night, then the angels will pray for him until the evening.” Ahmad, ad-Darimi. The message is good. See al-Adhkar 136.

Thabit al-Bunani said: “When Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) completed reciting the entire Quran, he would gather his children and family members and make a supplication to Allah.” ad-Darimi 2/469, Sa'id ibn Mansur 1/140. Imam al-Nawawi, Hafiz Ibn Hajar and Sheikh al-Albani confirmed the authenticity of the isnad.

Ibn Utaybah said: “One day Mujahid and Abd ibn Abu Lubab sent for me, and when I came, they said: “Verily, we sent for you for the reason that we wanted to complete the reading of the Quran, for prayer after completing the Quran is accepted.” Ibn Abu Daoud. Imam al-Nawawi called the isnad authentic. See al-Adhkar 119.

As for certain prayers that are said after reading the Koran, legitimized by people, this has no basis, and therefore Imam al-Shatibi called it: “Added innovation” See ad-Da'ifa 13/315.

Therefore, after completing the reading of the Quran, you can turn to Allah with any prayers, since there are no specific prayers for this!

Show more generosity

The month of Ramadan comes as a time of generosity and mercy, in which the faithful compete with each other in demonstrating these qualities. Ibn 'Abbas said: “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was the most generous person, and he was most generous in Ramadan. And he was more generous with goodness than the free wind." al-Bukhari 6, Muslim 2308.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) encouraged his community to take care of those who are fasting, and he said: “Whoever breaks the fast of a fasting person will receive the same reward as himself, but the reward (of the fasting person) will not decrease one iota.” Ahmad 5/192, at-Tirmidhi 807. Imam Abu Isa at-Tirmidhi, Hafiz al-Munziri and Sheikh al-Albani confirmed the authenticity of the hadith.

Sheikh-ul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah in “al-Ikhtiyarat” said that the hadith refers to such an amount of food that will be enough to satisfy oneself with it.

Imam Ibn Shihab al-Zuhri, when the month of Ramadan began, said: “This is the month of reciting the Quran and feeding the people.” Ibn ‘Abdul-Barr in “at-Tamhid” 6/110.

Many of our righteous predecessors, among whom were Ibn ‘Umar, Malik ibn Dinar, Imam Ahmad, sacrificed their food to the poor in order to break their fast. As for Ibn ‘Umar, it is reported that he broke his fast only with an orphan or a beggar. See “Sab’una masala fi-ssyam” 19.

Let us also strive to feed the fasting person, in order to please him with the breaking of his fast, and ourselves with the same reward that is intended for him. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The best of you are those who feed food!” Ibn Majah, Abu Yala, at-Tabarani. Hafiz Ibn Hajar, al-Busayri and Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith good. See “al-Silsilya al-sahiha” 44.

If treating people is one of the best manifestations of Islam, then what can be said about such an act in the great month of Ramadan!

Allah created Paradise for the God-fearing and those who are distinguished by the desire to forgive, spend, do good and promised them His forgiveness, saying: “Hasten to obtain the forgiveness of your Lord and Paradise, which embraces the heavens and the earth, prepared for the God-fearing, who spend both in joy and in grief, restrain anger, forgive people. Verily, Allah loves the pious!” (Ali Imran 3: 133-134).

Be more diligent in worship

‘Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: “During Ramadan, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) showed more diligence than at any other time, and during the last ten days of Ramadan he showed even more diligence than the rest of the days of this month.” Muslim 1175.

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) encouraged people to perform additional night prayers during Ramadan, but did not categorically order them to do so, but said: “Whoever stood through the nights of the month of Ramadan in prayer with faith and hope for Allah’s reward will have his previous sins forgiven.” al-Bukhari 37, Muslim 759.

‘Amr ibn Murra al-Juhani said: “One day a man came to the prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: “O Messenger of Allah! Do you know that I testify that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah and that you are the Messenger of Allah, and that I pray, pay zakat, fast and spend the nights of Ramadan in prayer?!” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever dies on this will be among the truthful and martyrs in Paradise.” al-Bazzar, Ibn Khuzaima, Ibn Hibban. The hadith is authentic. See “Sahihu-ttargib” 1/419.

What else is needed for God-fearing Muslims who strive for the pleasure of Allah and want the reward of a martyr?!

And in conclusion, praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds!

Ramadan is inextricably linked with the Koran, because it was in this month that this great Book was revealed. The Almighty said: "The month of Ramadan in which the Qur'an was revealed"(2:185).

This connection has a direct bearing on the fact that fasting was prescribed in this particular month.

After mentioning the obligation of fasting: “Fasting is prescribed for you”(2:183) talks about the revelation of the Book of Allah in Ramadan: “The Quran was revealed in the month of Ramadan”(2:185).

Az-Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked about what to do during Ramadan, and he said: “Read the Koran and feed the people.” And ‘Abdu-r-Razzaq reports from Imam al-Thawri that with the onset of Ramadan, he abandoned all unnecessary forms of worship and devoted all his time to reading the Koran. And Ibn ‘Abdul-Hakam reports that Imam Malik during this month moved away from meetings in which knowledge was acquired and passed on, and read the Koran. Wazaif Ramadan. P. 42.

And al-Hasan ibn ‘Ali said: “Verily, those who lived before you considered the Quran as messages from their Lord, tried to comprehend them at night and studied them during the day.” An-Nawawi. At-tibyan fi adab hamalat al-Qur'an. P. 28.

However, Allah Almighty not only allowed us, by His mercy and His generosity, to have a secret conversation with Him and look at His Words. He also gave us the highest position for doing this. The Almighty said: “Verily, those who read the Scripture of Allah, perform prayer and spend from what We have provided for them, secretly and openly, hope for a transaction that will not be unsuccessful, so that He will reward them in full and even add from His mercy. Verily, He is the Forgiving, the Grateful” (35:29–30).

The Almighty has chosen for himself the people of His Scripture, who read it and act in accordance with it, and made them worthy owners of it. The Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: “Among the people are the people of Allah”. People asked: “Who are they, O Messenger of Allah?” He said: “People of the Koran. They- people of Allah and His associates". Ibn Majah. Hadith No. 215. Ahmad. Hadith No. 11883. Al-Hakim. T. 1. P. 556. Al-Albani called it reliable (Sahih Ibn Majah. Hadith No. 178).

If you are attentive to the Koran in Ramadan, dear brothers, read it and study it, your attitude towards the Holy Book will begin to improve, and you will be able to become people of the Koran and, accordingly, people of Allah and His associates, and not be one of those who abandoned the Scripture and thereby incurred the wrath of Allah and the complaint of the Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. “The Messenger said: “Lord! My people abandoned and abandoned this Koran."(25:30).

Determine for yourself the amount that you can read daily during the month of fasting, and try to read the same amount every day when Ramadan ends, so that you can be “people of remembrance” and not “ people leaving."

Dividing the Koran into small parts that are read constantly is the Sunnah, but it has long been forgotten even by the preachers of Islam and observant Muslims, not to mention ordinary people. Our righteous predecessors read a certain part of the Koran every day. Often this was a part that allowed them to read the entire Qur'an in a month, or so much so that they could read it in a week or, for example, in three days.

And the fact that this is the Sunnah is indicated by reliable hadiths, for example, the words of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him: “Whoever sleeps through the reading of what he usually reads at night, or part of it, and then reads it between the morning and midday prayers, it will be recorded for him as if he read it at night.”. Muslim. Hadith No. 747.

And the companions (may Allah be pleased with them all) took the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, as an example in dividing the Qur'an into parts. Once he hosted several people from the Sakif tribe, and every evening he came to them after evening prayer and talked with them, and one day he was late, and when he arrived, they told him: “You are late.” He said: “I began to read the part of the Koran that I usually read n but I didn’t want to leave until I finished reading it » . The narrator of this hadith, Aws ibn Hudhaifa al-Thakafi, said: “I asked the companions of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him: how do you divide the Quran? And they said: three, then five, then seven, then nine, then eleven, then thirteen, and then a part consisting of short suras." Ibn Majah. Hadith No. 1345. Al-Hafiz al-‘Iraqi called him good when analyzing the hadith “Al-ihya” (Vol. 1. P. 276).

[Ibn Kathir cited it in his Tafsir as evidence that dividing the Quran into parts was practiced during the life of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, It was also used as evidence by Sheikh of Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, talking about dividing the Quran into suras and parts. The commentator “‘Aun al-ma’bud” said about this hadith: “Hizb is the part of the Koran that a person undertakes to read, and three are the suras “Cow”, “Family of Imran” and “Women”. These three suras occupy one level out of the seven existing ones. Five are suras from “Meal” to “Repentance”. Seven - from “Yunus” to “Bee”. Nine - from “Line in a Row” to “Chambers”. And the part consisting of short suras is the part from Surah “Kaf” to the end of the Koran. This indicates that at the time of the Companions, the divisions of the Qur'an that exist today were known." ‘Awn al-ma’bud fi sharh sunan Abi Dawud. T. 2. P. 87].

And ‘Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) divided the Quran so that she could read it completely in seven days. She said: “I read my part (or: the seventh part) sitting on my mat or bed.” Abu 'Ubaida. Fadail al-Qur'an. P. 291.

However, during Ramadan the attitude of our righteous predecessors was different. During this month, a sound like the buzzing of bees was heard from their houses when the Qur'an was recited. And although the entire Ramadan is the most worthy and appropriate time for reading the Quran and remembering Allah, night is most suitable for this - after all, at this time a person’s senses become more acute, and he better perceives what he reads. Perhaps this is why in Ramadan Jibril came to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, at night to repeat the Quran with him, as Ibn ‘Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) mentions.

After all, the Almighty said: “Indeed, prayers after waking up in the middle of the night make a stronger impression and are clearer in presentation” (73:6).” Wazaif Ramadan. P. 42.

This is about time. And if we talk about the place, then it is best, of course, to read the Quran in a mosque, especially if you combine reading with study. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: “Whenever people gather in one of the houses of Allah, where they read and study the Book of Allah together, calmness will certainly descend on them, and mercy will cover them, and angels will surround them, and Allah remembers them among those who are with Him.” Muslim. Hadith No. 948.

“O Allah! Make the great Koran the spring of our hearts, the light of our chests, the removal of our anxiety and sadness. Help us remember what we have forgotten from it, and teach us what we do not know from it... Amen!

One of the most desirable activities during Ramadan is reading the Quran. It was in this month that the holy book was revealed.

“The month of Ramadan is the month in which the Quran was revealed with clear signs as a guide for all people and as an explanation of the straight path separating truth from falsehood.”

(Quran, 2:185).

All righteous followers of Islam during Ramadan tried to leave everything and immerse themselves in the world of reading and understanding the Koran.

Ibn Hakim said: “At the onset of Ramadan, Imam Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, “fled” from reading hadith and sitting with theologians to reading the Quran.”

Many people try to complete the entire Quran at least once. But there are also those who complete it 2, 5, 10, or even more times.

We should all strengthen our connection with the Qur'an this month and take time to read the Qur'an and reflect on its sacred meaning.

Dear friends, which sura have you reached? Today is the sixth day of Ramadan. We hope you have already completed Surahs Baqarah, Imran and An-Nisa and are ready to read Al-Maida.

“Why should the Almighty punish you if you have become grateful to Him and believed. [In response to your gratitude] He rewards generously and knows everything.”

Before we begin to explain verse 147, we must understand the previous two.

Hypocrites... They [will be placed forever] in the lowest level of Hell. You will never find someone who will help them [get out of there].

The only exceptions will be those of them who [while still in the worldly monastery] repent, correct themselves, hold tightly to God and become sincere in observing religious tenets. They [will remain in eternity] with the believers. The Lord will certainly reward those who believe in the future [after the Day of Judgment] with an unusually huge reward.

These verses indicate that hypocrisy is not a death sentence. This is a curable disease. Hypocrites can reform. The doors of Allah's forgiveness are always open. Once they repent and return to the path of Allah, they become believers.

In Surah An-Nisa, more than 60 verses are devoted specifically to the topic of hypocrisy. This is a very complex and serious topic. While you are reading these verses, you can't help but wonder "And who am I? Aren't you a hypocrite?

And at a time when a person thinks that he is mired in the most serious sins and thinks that there is no way to God, and the shaitan incites him in this with the words “Allah will punish you no matter what. You will enter hell,” the person begins to wonder: “Why did Allah create hell? What will happen to Allah if he punishes me? Why does He want to throw me into hell?

And when a person begins to ask such questions, Allah says:

“Why should the Almighty punish you? (why does he need this? Do you think this is his main goal?), if you were even a little grateful to him and believed in Him, He would reward you generously.”

Allah greatly values gratitude. Allah would appreciate it if you were grateful for all the good things he gives you.

The daughter of the great scientist Hassan al-Basri once injured herself. He, like a loving father, ran to her, picked her up, and began asking about “How is she feeling?” And she answered him: "Alhamdulillah. Glory to Allah, who protected me and kept me alive."
